Fiesta-Inspired Rehearsal Dinner

Emily and Brendan didn’t wait until their wedding reception to go all out on celebrating with friends and family — they held a fiesta-inspired rehearsal dinner complete with live music and dancers at the President George Bush Library in Dallas. We worked with Allday Events on this dinner that featured an amped-up version of the wedding-day color palette of pinks and oranges.

Much of the design inspiration came from the table linens — a major focal point full of hot pink, orange, red, purple and blue that we used in the floral design. Tables held low, lush arrangements as centerpieces that played off of the vibrant color scheme without clashing, and to create the perfect amount of busy-ness.

To embellish the bar area, we designed an arrangement for the menu sign — more warm pink, red and orange tones. The touches of blue in the linens and flowers were brought out with velvet chairs in a deep blue color, and the place settings tied in green and yellow.

High-top cocktail tables were the final opportunity to bring in color, and were covered with hot pink and bright blue linens. We gave these a floral touch with some simple bud vases. This turned out as such a fun and unique precursor to the couple’s church ceremony and reception at The Arts District Mansion — the perfect opportunity to create another special experience for their wedding party!

Shelbi + Brett's Rustic Texas Ranch Wedding

Shelbi and Brett’s rustic, romantic ranch wedding was held at the dreamiest Texas venue, and we brought an abundance of flowers to match — mauve, blush, and greenery-filled floral statements for the outdoor ceremony and tented reception, inspired by Shannon Rose Events’ design that drew on the natural beauty of Rest Yourself Ranch.

The ceremony had a gorgeous view, framed for the guests by trees that we decorated with asymmetrical floral clusters to complete the perfect backdrop at the altar. Lush ground arrangements lined the aisle for another bright floral touch. Wood-style benches for seating were the perfect low-profile, rustic accent.

For the reception, we worked with Shannon to incorporate flowers into some key areas, starting with two large urn arrangements on either side of the bar. These were great eye-catching pieces that anchored the space and framed the seating area. Furniture rentals and drapery made a world of difference in elevating the space — and they tied in with warm brown and taupe shades in the place settings and table linens.

The head table was decorated down the center with a mix of small and large compote arrangements — these were garden-inspired with a romantic blend of mauve, champagne and blush-toned blooms, along with touches of greenery. Round tables had either similar compote arrangements or candles and loose flowers styled as centerpieces.

Shelbi’s bridal bouquet was warm and bright — full of statements like Peonies, Roses and Tulips, with the perfect brown-pink tones to tie in with her bridesmaids’ subtle pink gowns.

Samantha + Daniel's Modern "Something Blue" Wedding at The Joule Dallas

Samantha and Daniel tied the knot and celebrated their marriage at The Joule in Dallas — we worked with Gathered Events to deck out the ceremony and reception spaces with blue and neutral floral arrangements with a modern flair, from the aisle to cocktail tables and the dance floor. We loved their vision for their big day and watching everything come together!

The ceremony was held in a neutral space — white and gray drapery and flooring, and clear acrylic seating — which let the flowers make a big statement. We designed ground arrangements to line the aisle with shades of white and blue — these were intentionally fit to the height of the elevated aisle platform. At the altar, we decorated an acrylic chuppah with floral clusters on all sides. These made a big visual impact with lots of greenery and blooms like Calla Lilies.

For the reception, we leaned into the lounge-style inspiration and decorated the cocktail tables with bud vases and candles for simple and refined ambiance. For an additional floral pop in the space, we lined the banquette seating and the entry to the dance floor with large arrangements.

Like the ceremony, this ballroom and the decor made the flowers look even more striking, even though they had a fairly subtle color palette of light blue, navy and true blue. These featured some unique textures like sprayed baby’s breath and bleached fern leaves that tied in that modern feel.

Samantha’s bouquet was the epitome of elegance with one single ingredient: white Calla Lilies. A perfect match to the modern style found throughout the ceremony and reception flowers and decor.

Juli + Randy's Garden-Inspired, Mid-Century Modern Wedding at Hotel Drover

Juli and Randy leaned into a unique garden-inspired style for their wedding at Hotel Drover — the perfect venue that Shannon Rose Events helped bring to life with mid-century modern design elements, influenced by the couple’s own home, mixed in with naturalistic grasses, plants and floral textures.

The ceremony was held in a clear tent next to the hotel’s ballroom — the altar in the center, surrounded by the guest seating on almost all sides — the aisle weaved through the chairs, and strategically placed plants, arrangements and grasses clustered together created a garden-like effect. Touches like the black chairs added a mid-century modern contrast to the natural feel of the flowers that mimicked landscaping.

The reception, held indoors, was designed to feel like an upscale cocktail lounge — smaller seating areas, low lighting and lamps and candles throughout brought the ambiance. The guest tables themselves were kept simple — with bud vases and votive candles down the center. In between these rectangular tables, a mix of short and raised arrangements lined more tables. Filled out with plants and lanterns, this made for such a unique yet fitting statement and centerpiece for the room.

Black pergolas tied in with other dark touches throughout, and were draped with greenery that helped accentuate the textures in the table arrangements — a relatively simple addition that made a big impact in transforming the space.

Juli’s bouquet was made up of all ivory and white blooms — Peonies, Gardenia, Roses, Ranunculus and Sweet Pea, for an elegant, modern addition to her a-line gown.

Maryn + Griffin's Italy-Inspired Wedding at The Hillside Estate

Destinations can be great inspiration for weddings — whether it’s a special part of the couple’s history or they just love the vibe! Maryn and Griffin’s wedding, planned and designed by Gathered Events at The Hillside Estate, was a portrait of Positano, Italy, complete with a dreamy outdoor reception, and flowers in a mix of orange and yellow tones.

In the chapel, we lined the aisle with lush ground arrangements, pillar candles and vases of lemon and oranges for a bright and fresh pop of color. The arrangements featured some of the same tones of orange and peach, and touches of bright green. At the altar, a peaked arch was covered with organic-style flowers — more citrus-toned blooms and flowing greenery.

The entry to the venue was another area to deck out with Italy-inspired touches — the guests’ seating assignments were displayed on bottles of limoncello cocktails hung on a trio of boards, embellished with floral clusters that tied in with ground arrangements that sat around them. Pillar candles completed this sweet statement moment.

The reception was held out on the venue’s patio, for the perfect Italian al-fresco feel. Draping was installed above the seating area, along with string lights, that transformed this space and made it feel like a tented event. We designed compote arrangements in mismatched terracotta vases to decorate the guest tables, along with lots of candlelight that greeted such an intimate, glow-filled atmosphere. We also designed a mantle installation for the outdoor fireplace and strung greenery along the lights for a couple more statements that elevated the space.

The bridal party wore gowns in a romantic shade of pink that made the more vibrant shades in their bouquets really pop — for Maryn’s bridal bouquet, we combined light and bright ivory statement blooms like Peonies with peach Ranunculus and white daffodils that tied the orange and white shades together.

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: white Peonies, white Cloud Garden Roses, Playa Blanca Roses, Sahara Sensation Spray Roses, peach Ranunculus, white Daffodils, white Butterfly Ranunculus, white Sweet Pea, pink Limonium, Huckleberry
