Sara + Payson's Vibrant Springtime Wedding at The Hillside Estate

A fully-flowered ceremony, multi-site reception, and a palette of pinks, peaches and corals that ranged from soft and romantic to vibrant and bold — Sara and Payson’s springtime wedding at The Hillside Estate was such a fabulous event we were thrilled to help bring to life through floral design.

Starting with the ceremony, we designed a disconnected arch that grew up from either side of the altar, and a meadow of ground arrangements surrounding it on either side — and all the way down the aisle. These aisle arrangements included taller statement blooms like Delphinium, and made the whole space feel like a lush garden, especially with the gorgeous backdrop of the venue grounds through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

For a cocktail hour following the ceremony, held outside, a large urn arrangement sat on top of the circular bar for a statement. The venue entry also had large arrangements for framing — some at the base of the staircases that created a flowing effect.

The reception was held in the venue’s ballroom and two tents outside, that guests moved throughout for different parts of the night. In the ballroom, we decorated the rectangular guest tables with an elegant mix of compote arrangements, bud vases and candles, and other touches like white candles and linens, with a pop of pink in the place settings made this feel so clean and refined. Ground arrangements also accented the ends of these tables to continue that garden feel.

The reception extended into a tent for dancing, where guests entered through a double-archway of flowers and greenery of all textures that marked the transition into a dance party with an oversized floral halo hanging from the ceiling around the chandelier as a centerpiece, along with small arrangements paired with candles on tables throughout. Two trees also helped anchor and transform the space.

A second tent was decked out with a disco ball and floral ceiling installation — we hung flowers and fabric in a gradient of pink, purple, orange and yellow and disco balls in various sizes and heights. An oversized floral garland accented the bar for even more flowers.

The bridal party wore neutral gowns, so pink and coral blooms in the bouquets were a pop of color. Poppies, Double Tulips and Sweet Pea gave these the perfect elegance and playfulness.

Angela + Kevin's Springtime-Inspired Wedding at The Arboretum

Angela and Kevin held their February wedding at the Dallas Arboretum, a gorgeous venue made even more lush and beautiful with some simple yet impactful floral statements in a springtime-inspired color palette of pinks, peaches with striking pops of lavender and bright purple.

For the ceremony, a simple, impactful altar arrangement complemented the natural beauty of the venue — the Arboretum’s Sunken Garden. We designed a floral semi-circle that featured a mix of blooms like Hydrangea and Roses at its base and tall flowers like Allium and Delphinium for some height, in a bright palette of ivories and light pinks that popped against the lush backdrop.

The reception, also held outside (at the Camp House), welcomed guests with a seating chart that we embellished with floral clusters at opposite corners. Rectangular guest tables held a deconstructed floral runner — arrangements with candles in between that create a full, garland effect. Round tables held centerpieces of either bud vases or compote arrangements — purple taper candles helped add even more of a pop of color.

The couple’s sweetheart table was kept simple — flowers were added in on the runner that draped off of either side and added a subtle pop of color. A final touch featuring peach-toned flowers, the cake was yet another element that made this space feel cohesive and vibrant with spring shades.

Angela’s bouquet was designed in a classic and manicured style, with mostly ivory and white blooms and just sparing touches of lavender and blush. It helped create a true “princess” effect with her ball gown dress.

Kelly + Marcus' Vibrant Wedding at Virgin Hotels

Kelly and Marcus dreamt up a perfect vision of vibrant, funky flowers and decor for their ceremony and cocktail-style reception at the Virgin Hotel in Dallas — we had the joy of working with them from ideation to day-of coordination. The goal was a relaxed yet fun atmosphere that elevated the venue’s already-stunning spaces and decor.

We used flowers for impactful pops of color in the ceremony space, both through hot pink petals on either side of the aisle and a few strategically placed floral clusters that embellished a gold circle arch up at the altar. This tied in perfectly with the venue’s gorgeous abstract lighting and golden-brown walls, while adding in vibrancy with the flowers.

For the reception, we designed arrangements for both cocktail and dinner tables that continued the palette of punchy orange and pink tones — lanterns holding ikebana arrangements on the high tables and larger organic-style centerpieces full of texture for the others. Simple floral accents were enough to complement the natural vibe of the space, along with black linens and uplighting to achieve a moody, elegant atmosphere.

Kelly’s bouquet was the epitome of all the orange, peach, yellow and pinks that showed up across the ceremony and reception, with all kinds of textures that are just as vibrant as the color palette. It was truly a statement accessory to her stunning modern gown. Bridesmaids brought the scheme of brights with mismatched gowns and even more color in their bouquets.

Amber + Tom's Eclectic, Moody Wedding at The Mason Dallas

Our couple Amber and Tom wanted an elegant, eclectic wedding, and chose a venue and color palette to match — we designed high-impact statement arrangements that anchored the ceremony and reception space at The Mason Dallas, and simpler floral touches for the tables that brought in the shades of burgundy, purple, toffee and a pop of black.

At the altar, two large organic-style urn arrangements framed the couple with a mix of colored foliage and blooms, and sat on tables covered with gold linens. With lots of candlelight surrounding these and lining the aisle, the ceremony had the perfect moodiness and glow. For the reception (in the same space), these anchored the room on either side of a fireplace below a large gold mirror, and we added a third urn arrangement sat in the center of the room. 

We designed small compote and frog arrangements for the tables at the cocktail-style reception. More mood lighting and darker table linens all helped to accent this gorgeous space.

Amber’s bridal bouquet mixed the light and dark tones we incorporated throughout, with roses, Tulips, black Scabiosa and Ranunculus. Her bridesmaids’ bouquets featured a similar mix and worked with their mis-matched dresses for such a moody yet colorful, eclectic look.

Vibrant Winter Open House at The Hillside Estate

This bridal open house, hosted with Gathered Events at The Hillside Estate, featured a unique bright and vibrant take on a winter color palette — the venue’s reception hall was set up with a long rectangular table to mimic a head table for a wedding party, and round guest tables around the perimeter. These and a cake table were decked out with flowers in red, taupe and purple tones with pops of blue and yellow.

A red and burgundy checker-patterned dance floor anchored the space, and added a bold statement to an otherwise neutral space — light and bright linens and chairs. Several larger arrangements in stone bowls lined the table — these were designed with a combination of blooms like Lilac, Sweet Pea, Roses, Tulips and others that all created a layered look that varied in style, height and texture. 

Place settings that featured lattice-pattern placemats with cutouts and gold-embellished drinkware also added texture and interest. Burgundy candles lined the long table to complete that red statement and add in some romance!

Other tables held centerpieces made up of blush taper candles and bud vase arrangements in a softer palette in contrast to the head table. The cake was a stunning focal point — a stand suspended the top tier of the cake so it floated above the rest — we embellished the arm with a floral cluster to accentuate the effect and create a continuation of the blush and red color palette.
