Lauren + Michael's Outdoor Ceremony and Reception in the Hill Country

Lauren and Michael got married in the Texas Hill Country at Windmere Farms, where Shannon Rose Events led the charge on transforming the space for an outdoor ceremony and tented reception in a color palette of yellow and mustard with pops of green and neutral tones – a perfect light and airy springtime vision.

The ceremony design centered around large organic-style arrangements that sat on natural wood pedestals at the altar and filled with statement blooms Delphinium, Mums, Roses and rounded out with other floral and greenery textures. Ground arrangements and smaller grass clusters lined the aisle for an effortless blend with the surrounding hill country scenery.

The reception was held just steps away at the venue’s sperry tent. A few long rectangular tables were used for seating and we designed bud vases and floral frog arrangements to line their centers, along with candles.

Given the simple approach to the tables, we designed a few key statement moments to make all the difference in transforming the tented space – a lush greenery installation hung from the ceiling for a focal point to bring the eye up, and tent poles were concealed with either faux-tree or foliage-focused designs that grew up from the ground.

Lauren’s bridesmaids wore matching deep green gowns that contrasted with their light and bright bouquets – also in an organic style and lots of textural variety. The bridal bouquet had the perfect pops of yellow along with romantic neutral blooms like blush Peonies and ivory and white Roses.
