Jing Qui + Henry's Whimsical, Intimate Outdoor Wedding

Couple Jing Qui and Henry held a perfectly intimate and whimsical wedding and reception at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, and we designed subtle, organic-style floral touches to embellish this already-gorgeous setting. With Silent Tea Studio, we brought the bride’s vision for a soft Spring-inspired wedding to life with a palette of blush tones, blue and white.

For the ceremony, we designed ground arrangements to line the aisle and to circle the altar — these featured those soft pink and white tones with pops of orange that added some understated vibrance. These created the perfect natural-yet-refined garden feel!

The reception was also held outdoors, under a stunning canopy of trees and string lights. We designed a couple tall arrangements for two long rectangular guest tables — the organic style was continued here and these featured lots of lush greenery to accentuate the light flowers. Small bud vases and candles completed these long tables, and simple place settings made for an overall simple look.

Other round guest tables held compote arrangements packed with texture and lots of delicate blooms in the same shades of pink and white, with just a couple touches of the brighter blue, orange and yellow. The cake — by Cakes by Tayte — was another stunning unique touch, which we embellished sparingly with more delicate flowers.

The bridal party’s bouquets were full of big statement blooms with just a touch of blue Tweedia, and a pop of color and greenery in the boutonnieres were designed for the groom and groomsmen.

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: Blush Peonies, Kiera Garden Roses, Quicksand Roses, Blush Butterfly Ranunculus, Blue Tweedia, Peach Ranunculus, Frilly Tulips, Blush Lisianthus, White Lisianthus, Mini Variegated Pittosporum, Huckleberry

Kim + Trey's Springtime Garden Ceremony and Reception

Kim and Trey are a perfect example of a fairly simple and intimate wedding with strategic touches of elevated design that created such a dreamy garden-party-style ceremony and reception. At Marie Gabrielle Restaurant and Gardens in Dallas, we worked with this sweet couple to put together an intimate celebration for friends and family.

For the ceremony, we designed organic-style floral embellishments for a traditional wooden archway that served as the backdrop at the altar. This featured blush, peach and ivory blooms and greenery that tied in with the garden setting. Simple but perfectly complementary to the Springtime feel and venue!

The outdoor reception — held under cafe lights — featured small textural arrangements in glass vases. Per the bride’s request, no two arrangements were exactly alike and all included unique textures and the same subtle peach-and-greenery scheme. Guest tables were also decorated with bud vases, taper candles and vines of greenery.

Kim’s bridal bouquet incorporated the blush and peach tones through big statement blooms like Peonies, Ranunculus and rose varieties. This wedding was all about the couple’s nearest and dearest — with their dog as a guest of honor and two precious flower girls.

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: blush Peonies, Shimmer Roses, Sweet Eskimo Roses, blush Butterfly Ranunculus, peach Ranunculus, mauve Hellebore, purple Fritillaria, Huckleberry

Colorful Springtime Birthday Party at Hotel Drover

Even more so than weddings, birthday parties can draw so much inspiration from the personality of the guest of honor to create such a fun and unique experience — we loved working with Pop Parties to create the ultimate birthday celebration at Hotel Drover in Fort Worth. A bright color palette of turquoise, pink, orange and yellow shades, and nods to the birthday girl’s clothing boutique made this so eye-catching and memorable.

Starting with guests’ first stop — the seating chart — we designed a couple floral clusters to frame a custom storefront-inspired board with an awning and shopping bag seating cards. A champagne cart with a matching awning was also customized with the birthday girl’s initials, and we added a large draping arrangement to the front for that colorful summer-y feel!

We designed compote arrangements for all the guest tables, which were otherwise decorated with votive candles, two-toned pink place settings and deep turquoise linens. The floral arrangements featured bright yellow and pink blooms — namely coral Charm Peonies. These added so much vibrance and movement to the room.

For a statement, we designed a high-drama installation to cover the venue’s grand piano on the stage where Absolute Entertainment performed. Lots of greenery, pink and yellow blooms and pops of white Hydrangeas made this such a lush and colorful centerpiece for the whole space.

Vibrant Springtime Floral Design: Spring Open House at The Hillside Estate

Since opening in 2020, The Hillside Estate has quickly become a favorite among brides-to-be, and we’re always so glad to help showcase this gorgeous and versatile venue. We designed flowers for a Springtime open house event hosted by THE and Gathered Events that highlighted the stunning ballroom with a vibrant pinks-and-blue color scheme.

We designed several arrangements with a springtime and feminine style influence for long tables that included Daffodils, Butterfly Ranunculus and others, all making up a unique combo of pink and terra cotta tones with white blooms to balance them out and add plenty of brightness.

The unique touch of blush terracotta compotes courtesy of Rico Terre brought all of the colors together — paired with bright blue linens, these made the tables colorful yet sophisticated with other simple touches like glass pillar candles and gold-detailed place settings and chairs. Other tables featured centerpieces of bud vases and pillar candles on white linens for some contrast across the room.

This open house turned out as great inspiration for a brunch wedding reception — an upscale look made up of a few simple elements and lots of interest in the flowers’ color palette and textures.

Arrangement Ingredients: Quicksand Roses, white Majolica Spray roses, Barista Roses, Lege Marrone Carnations, Cappuccino Ranunculus, Daffodils, blush Lisianthus, blush Stock, pink Sweet Pea, purple Fritillaria, white Frilly Tulips, blush Butterfly Ranunculus

Tsen + Adam's Romantic Springtime Wedding

We worked with Silent Tea Studio to design and bring to life a simple, elegant Springtime wedding for Tsen and Adam at The Hillside Estate with a few statement pieces and other more subdued floral elements. This palette of soft pinks and neutrals was so fitting for the venue and made for such a quintessential Springtime feel!

The bride and groom held a traditional tea ceremony at the venue on their wedding day before all of their guests arrived — a tradition in which the newlyweds serve tea to each others’ relatives as a representation of the families’ union.

For the outdoor wedding ceremony, we designed a two-piece floral installation that grew up from the ground with full, lush bases and tapered-off tops to frame the couple at the altar. This was so fitting with the vegetation on the venue grounds but added the pop of brightness and color with white and pink flowers. A rose petal send-off outside after the ceremony was a fun touch that made for such sweet photos.

In the ballroom where the reception took place, we decorated the guest tables with collections of bud vases — grouped by like flowers at each table. These were simple and understated but looked so elegant paired with votive candles. Some other simple yet impactful floral moments were a greenery-lined staircase at the entrance and an asymmetrical arrangement on the mantle of the outdoor fireplace for cocktail hour.

We designed subtle yet lush and voluminous bouquets for Tsen and her bridesmaids, with majority ivory and white blooms and touches of taupe for a romantic and feminine look to pair with the blush gowns. These featured Garden Roses and Sweet Pea for fullness and a classic style.

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: white Cloud Garden Roses, Ohara Garden Roses, Playa Blanca Roses, Quicksand Roses, white Majolica Spray Roses, white Sweet Pea
