Kirsten + Josh's Spring-Inspired Fall Wedding at The French Farmhouse

Kirsten and Josh wanted a springtime-inspired wedding in September, and our team worked with Shannon Rose Events to design a color palette that mixed pastel tones with some autumnal depth – including lavender, mauve, yellow, orange and burgundy. The floral color palette, pops of color and pattern in the reception space, and the perfect amount of warm, wood touches made this event at The French Farmhouse feel spring even in the fall time.

The ceremony space was floral-filled - with a collection of organic-style ground arrangements down the aisle with lots of greenery and pops of blooms like Delphinium, Snapdragons and Roses, and four tall arrangements at the altar. These sat on velvet-draped pedestals for  elevation with candles surrounding them for a subtle pop of pink.

Several floral statements transformed the ballroom for the reception, starting with repurposed tall arrangements for the head table - this time on minimal gold stands - mixed with colored pillar candles and small bud vases styled down its center. The place settings incorporated shades of blue and more touches of gold in the flatware. Other guest tables were decorated with compote and bud arrangements, with a balance of the burgundy, yellow and pink shades.

The same mix was carried throughout the venue with arrangements to frame the cake and mantle. Touches like the patterned linen on the cake table tied all the colors together and brought an eclectic feel.

Kirsten’s bridal bouquet featured brights primarily - pinks, purples and yellow, with a subtle touch of burgundy and greenery. In mismatched shades of blue, bridesmaids tied together the spring-fall style.
