Brunchy Matrimony: Intimate Mid-day Wedding Celebrations

This week we’re spotlighting what we think is an underrated way to wed and celebrate with loved ones: over brunch! Whether you think you might prefer a more intimate and low-key reception, or you’re just a huge fan of mimosas and french toast, a brunch wedding might just be the perfect option for you! We’re looking back on two lovely couples that we provided coordination for that opted for personal and laid back wedding gatherings.

Rachel and Blake held their ceremony at FUMC Fort Worth and met their guests at Bird Cafe afterward for a brunch celebration. This sweet couple’s reception was the perfect intimate and sophisticated mid-day gathering for friends and family. We designed a garden-inspired faux garland made up of bud vases and greenery vines for the table. Complimentary of the dark wood and deep green linens in the restaurant, this simple floral design was the perfect way to elevate the setup and make it more personal.

Rachel wore a beautiful tea-length dress that served as inspiration for her taupe-and-blush-filled bouquet. This, along with her vintage-style clutch, were the perfect accessories for this lovely bride!

With a similar idea in mind, Jane and Herb held an intimate commitment ceremony and reception at Sixty Vines with their closest family and friends. This was the perfect romantic and cozy venue for these newlyweds to celebrate with loved ones! We carried the essence of this greenhouse space into the table florals, incorporating warm, deep-toned blooms, and gold votive and pillar candles.

Jane’s bouquet featured gorgeous burgundy flowers contrasted with bright white roses and accented by delicate touches of greenery. We love the way it helped make a statement paired with her stunning, classic white gown.

While you may feel the pressure of the conventionality surrounding certain wedding traditions, there’s only one real rule: if it feels right for you, do it! These two couples are great examples of staying true to your own personalities when it comes to your wedding plans. Focused on keeping things laid-back, they created the perfect low-key and low-stress gatherings to celebrate their marriage with, and we were so delighted to be a part of them!
