Julia + Reid's All-White Wedding at The Hillside Estate

We worked with Julia and Reid to coordinate and design flowers for their May wedding at The Hillside Estate — the perfect venue for the elegant, simplistic and clean style they envisioned. We focused on incorporating different textures to create interest even with a monotone palette of whites and ivories. Greenery and baby’s breath were the perfect accents that still kept everything fresh- and manicured-feeling.

For the ceremony, we designed a dimensional all-white arch of Hydrangea and Roses, and used compote arrangements to line the aisle for another subtle touch of flowers. The space’s high vaulted ceilings, chandeliers and massive windows complimented the light, bright, textural style of the flowers and really made them pop — especially with the lush outdoor backdrop.

Both the arch and the arrangements were repurposed for the reception, and we added tall manicured arrangements on the head table for a statement — these sat on clear vases to continue the clean, airy style. Bridesmaid bouquets helped fill out the head table in smaller clear vases. Simple place settings, candle holders and white linens kept the tables simple and cohesive, and gold chairs added just a little bit of contrast to the overall look.

With the arch framing it, the cake was another fun decor element in the reception space — embellished with the same Rose and Baby’s Breath pairing for volume and texture.

Julia’s bouquet was full of white Playa Blanca Roses that gave her an all-white bridal look with her bright white dress — her bridesmaids wore elegant taupe gowns that made the bride pop in photos yet kept the clean, neutral look.

Ashley + Miguel's Glamorous, Romantic Wedding at Knotting Hill Place

Ashley and Miguel wanted to go all out with their wedding on the 10-year anniversary of their relationship. They requested drama, glamor and sparkle for their flowers that would set the scene at their venue — Knotting Hill Place. We worked with Ammie Marie Events on this show-stopping ceremony and reception and love how the balance of elegance and drama turned out.

For the ceremony, cherry blossom trees elevated on stands made a statement lining the aisle and embellished with floral bases. The bride and groom stood in front of a large, lush floral arch at the altar — greenery and white blooms with a touch of blush pink. Knotting Hill Place’s grand ceremony space was the perfect match for the oversized trees and arch.

The reception was just as decked out — guest tables had either low arrangements in black-footed vases or tall centerpieces. We went extra dramatic for the sweetheart table with an arch as a backdrop, two tall arrangements on either side and a floral cascade down the front of the table. Lots of lush flowers and greenery with black linens on the table and white stands for the elevated arrangements. All of the tables had a mix of soft and bold touches — black glassware, gold candle holders and blush pink napkins.

The bridal party continued the drama with black silk gowns. We designed the bouquets to be light and bright — more ivory and subtle blush tones — with little touches of greenery and baby’s breath. Ashley’s bouquet featured plenty of statement blooms like Hydrangea and rose varieties.

Emily + Brendan's Spring Garden Party Wedding Reception

Emily and Brendan held their wedding reception at The Arts District Mansion, where we worked with Allday Events to create the perfect follow-up to their fiesta-inspired rehearsal dinner at the George Bush Library. Their wedding day was designed in a spring-garden-party style, and featured a softer color palette of pinks and oranges, with touches of purple, blue and yellow.

The flowers in the reception space were inspired by Emily’s request to bring the outdoors in and play up the garden feel. Round and rectangular guest tables filled the room, and we designed organic compotes and collections of bud vases and candles, with floral runners on the longer tables that flanked the dance floor for an extra pop. These arrangements had a wide range of color — a mix of orange, yellow, pink, lavender and light blue. Tapered candles gave the tables an elevated, elegant feel.

The focal point and statement of the space was the ceiling installation above the dance floor. We designed this with lots of greenery for lushness and volume, and strung Delphinium, Wisteria, Carnation garlands and ribbon to hang down and add in fun movement and color. This installation and a collection of ground arrangements in front of the band facade made the difference in the transformation from ballroom to garden.

The bridal party wore a gorgeous mix of pinks, oranges and yellows in different patterns and styles, and we designed bouquets to tie all the colors together — Coral Charm Peonies, fuchsia Ranunculus, yellow Butterfly Ranunculus and others. Emily’s bouquet popped with a couple vibrant touches of hot pink and yellow and looked stunning with her floral lace gown.

Bridal Bouquet: Juliet Garden Roses, Coral Charm Peonies, Shimmer Roses, pink Majolica Spray Roses, fuchsia Ranunculus, yellow Butterfly Ranunculus, blue Tweedia, lavender Sweet Pea, orange Parrot Tulips, Huckleberry

Fiesta-Inspired Rehearsal Dinner

Emily and Brendan didn’t wait until their wedding reception to go all out on celebrating with friends and family — they held a fiesta-inspired rehearsal dinner complete with live music and dancers at the President George Bush Library in Dallas. We worked with Allday Events on this dinner that featured an amped-up version of the wedding-day color palette of pinks and oranges.

Much of the design inspiration came from the table linens — a major focal point full of hot pink, orange, red, purple and blue that we used in the floral design. Tables held low, lush arrangements as centerpieces that played off of the vibrant color scheme without clashing, and to create the perfect amount of busy-ness.

To embellish the bar area, we designed an arrangement for the menu sign — more warm pink, red and orange tones. The touches of blue in the linens and flowers were brought out with velvet chairs in a deep blue color, and the place settings tied in green and yellow.

High-top cocktail tables were the final opportunity to bring in color, and were covered with hot pink and bright blue linens. We gave these a floral touch with some simple bud vases. This turned out as such a fun and unique precursor to the couple’s church ceremony and reception at The Arts District Mansion — the perfect opportunity to create another special experience for their wedding party!

Shelbi + Brett's Rustic Texas Ranch Wedding

Shelbi and Brett’s rustic, romantic ranch wedding was held at the dreamiest Texas venue, and we brought an abundance of flowers to match — mauve, blush, and greenery-filled floral statements for the outdoor ceremony and tented reception, inspired by Shannon Rose Events’ design that drew on the natural beauty of Rest Yourself Ranch.

The ceremony had a gorgeous view, framed for the guests by trees that we decorated with asymmetrical floral clusters to complete the perfect backdrop at the altar. Lush ground arrangements lined the aisle for another bright floral touch. Wood-style benches for seating were the perfect low-profile, rustic accent.

For the reception, we worked with Shannon to incorporate flowers into some key areas, starting with two large urn arrangements on either side of the bar. These were great eye-catching pieces that anchored the space and framed the seating area. Furniture rentals and drapery made a world of difference in elevating the space — and they tied in with warm brown and taupe shades in the place settings and table linens.

The head table was decorated down the center with a mix of small and large compote arrangements — these were garden-inspired with a romantic blend of mauve, champagne and blush-toned blooms, along with touches of greenery. Round tables had either similar compote arrangements or candles and loose flowers styled as centerpieces.

Shelbi’s bridal bouquet was warm and bright — full of statements like Peonies, Roses and Tulips, with the perfect brown-pink tones to tie in with her bridesmaids’ subtle pink gowns.

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: white Peony, Cappuccino Rose, Cafe Latte Rose, Playa Blanca Rose, Brownie Tulip, Caramel Tulip, Bohemian Mocha Lisianthus, Brownie Sweetpea
