Olivia + Jeff's Classic Black-and-White Wedding at The Hillside Estate

Nothing says classic and timeless like black-and-white flowers and decor in a grand and open venue! We helped Olivia and Jeff throw a stunning fall wedding at The Hillside Estate with lots of simple yet impactful details. Lush white blooms and greenery were the hallmarks of this ceremony and reception.

For the ceremony, we designed a few altar arrangements with a floral base and a pop of greenery to break up the white flowers and tie in the scenery outside. These all sat on clear tapered vases on top of white stands — an elegant and simple presentation for this gorgeous space with lots of natural light and white finishes. These arrangements also helped complete the reception when we moved them to the guest tables after this couple was wed!

The reception also featured just about every candle style — we combined votive, pillar, floating and taper candles for both visual interest and ambience. These tables, with touches of black in the linen napkins and taper candles, were a mix of modern and classic and created the most elegant and intimate setting!

The seating chart was made up of gold shelving that held glasses of champagne garnished with place cards. Moments like that can always stand to be embellished with some greenery — we added clusters of flowers to the corners to complete this setup, and it was a great statement for guests to be greeted with!

Olivia and her bridesmaids’ bouquets were in a classic, rounded style and full of white rose varieties, Ranunculus, Panda Anemones and others. Since pure white was the main color for this wedding instead of the typical ivory, the whole event had a more modern feel — especially given the architecture and details of the venue. For another statement moment, the bridesmaids wore black gowns!

Brittany + Alex's Autumnal Reception at Sixty Vines

This week we’re sharing a sweet brunch wedding that featured one of our favorite-ever autumnal color palettes! What was originally planned to be a mostly neutral color scheme got played up with shades of blush, peach, mustard and some burgundy. Vintage style also inspired this wedding, seen in all the details from the bride’s accessories to the decor. This reception was held at Sixty Vines, and it was the perfect venue for this couple and their guests!

The table decor for the reception was fairly simple, with a variety of floral arrangements and green votive holders on the venue’s bare wooden tables. We put together compote and ikebana arrangements and bud vases that all brought in the perfect amount of color and lots of great texture. Black linens and gold-rimmed plates at each seat were great touches that pulled it all together!

Another statement in the room was the cake table, which we designed a ground installation for that was heavy on the greenery and looked so garden-like and natural! The cake flowers continued the palette of blush and taupe tones, and were the perfect elegant accent. The space at Sixty Vines also had plenty of greenery to begin with that added to that garden feel.

Our bride, Brittany, wore a stunning simple white gown with quarter-length sleeves and the perfect accessories — an elegant white bag and peach-taupe shoes with flowers on the tops. Her bridesmaids were all in muted sage green dresses. Altogether, and with their bouquets of Ranunculus, Roses, Cosmos and Tulips, were the perfect vision of summer into fall. We loved coordinating and designing for this brunch wedding, and just adored the color palette. Our team will never miss a chance to have fun with a new spin on something that’s been done many times over!

Jaclyn + Tim's Elevated and Modern Wedding

This week, we’re bringing you ‘bright and airy’ with a hint of moodiness! Jaclyn and Tim’s wedding was classic with modern touches and lots of greenery. Knotting Hill Place is always so fun for us to deck out with flowers — the grandeur of these spaces definitely matched the tasteful drama of all the details this couple selected.

For the ceremony, we designed two large urn arrangements to frame a wooden cross that we embellished with greenery and that completed the scene at the altar along with the floor-to-ceiling windows and sheer curtains. Lush greenery lined the edges of the aisle — a relatively simple addition that made such a big impact!

More greenery, and lots of candlelight and gold touches, covered the reception space, which also featured touches of mauve and taupe. A mix of tall arrangements on gold stands and low compote centerpieces decorated the guest tables. Both had crisp white blooms and pops of color here and there. Black linens on the tables added some depth and a modern touch — such a great pairing with the gold accessories and the bright white flowers.

The staircase in this space makes a pretty grand statement on its own, but we always love playing it up and tying it in with the rest of the space so that when the newlyweds enter, the whole vision is “them!” We added lots of vines of greenery up the majority of the banisters, and flowers and candles at the base. This is such a fun opportunity to draw the eye up with flowers or greenery, and bring some more life to the whole room.

This bridal party was so elegant and classy — Jaclyn’s bridesmaids all wore green velvet dresses, which really made her gown and all of their bouquets pop! The bridal bouquet had some added drama with cascading greenery, and featured the perfect combo of mauve and ivory blooms.

Cathy + Stephen's Upscale Blue-and-White Garden Wedding

Cathy and Stephen’s wedding at Texas Discovery Gardens was a timeliness, classy and crisp summer wedding, all in shades of blue and white. Refined and organic designs throughout this stunning outdoor space were the hallmark of this sweet couple’s day. It was full of small special details that elevated the experience through the color palette and a floral-pattern motif.

For the ceremony, to create a manicured-yet-organic look, we designed two large altar arrangements of white blooms and lush greenery that sat on gold urns and white pedestals on either side of the venue’s fountains. These simple, classic pieces fit in perfectly with the setting but tied in with the rest of this couple’s beautifully curated wedding!

The reception had all the lovely blue accents, from the vases to the place settings to the flowers themselves — tiny bud vases of Viburnum stems were such a sweet touch! Each guest table had a collection of mis-matched blue-and-white chinoiserie vases with single-bloom arrangements of Roses, Tulips and others. Classy place settings completed the tablescapes with gold accents and more white and blue.

We’re huge fans of bridesmaid fashion and this bridal party pulled off the mismatched look beautifully in a variety of blue floral-patterned dresses. White bouquets with subtle touches of blue tied all of their looks together and added more of that organic-garden feel — so elegant and chic!

Aime + Chris's Lush, Jewel-Toned Ceremony and Reception

Aime and Chris’s wedding was such a gorgeous display of glamor and drama that still embodied so much elegance. We designed a one-of-a-kind ceiling display, altar backdrop, guest table arrangements and bouquets for this wonderful couple — all in the most stunning jewel tones! The Cliff House was the perfect venue for this dramatic yet organic-feeling wedding!

The ceremony and reception were held in the same room, so we were able to go all out with a ceiling installation that completely transformed the space. We used the exposed wood beams to drape greenery vines and plenty of flowers — including Delphinium, Amaranthus and Snap Dragons — from, all in rich purple tones. The “dripping” concept created such a whimsical and intimate atmosphere for the entire event.

The other statement in the room was wooden paneling in the back of the space that we decked out with a sprawling corner arrangement that tied in the purples up above with pink and red tones.

Once the space was “flipped” for the reception, we had two long guest tables to decorate with even more flowers to accentuate the whimsical garden organic feel that much more. Compote arrangements were a simple solution to making the space feel extra lush — gold vases and purple votive holders were the perfect touches to tie the whole vibe together.

Aime’s bouquet was the ultimate mix of lavender, lilac and mauve rose tones with plenty of texture between all the roses varieties, Cosmos and Clematis. Mimicking the bridal bouquet, the bridesmaids’ looked so stunning with their dresses in varying deep green shades.

Bouquet Ingredients: Kiera Garden Roses, Cappuccino Roses, Ocean Song Roses, Brownie Tulips, Purple Clematis, Chocolate Cosmos, Mauve Hellebore, Mauve Lisianthus, Huckleberry Greenery
