Jessica + Blake's Vibrant and Cheerful Garden Wedding

Between all of the things you’ve been planning for that you think you can control, and those you can’t (like the weather), you might find yourself holding your breath as you near your big day in hopes that nothing goes wrong. In all of our wedding experience, we can truly say that things do always work out. We’ve seen stormy skies miraculously clear up just in time more than once, like we did on the day of our sweet bride Jessica’s wedding. It was such a fun adventure to coordinate her wedding to Blake and design their flowers too!

For the ceremony, held outside at Marie Gabrielle Restaurant and Gardens, we designed a large garden-style arch for the altar, full of greenery and voluminous clusters of those beautiful bright flowers. In front of this lush arch, and in front of gorgeous trees strung with fairy lights, this ceremony was so dreamy and whimsical!

Their indoor reception was filled with the same bright springtime hues as the arch, and classy yet playful gold accents, like those found on the chargers and candle holders. The table centerpieces were in low vases that matched the gold theme, too. On other tables, we put together clusters of bud vases with a few statement blooms in each. We loved the way these pink, purple and orange blooms brought the vibrant spring vibe while still looking so soft and elegant!

Jessica’s bouquet featured her favorite flower, Coral Charm Peonies, as well as Tulips, Sweet Pea, and rose varieties, and perfectly matched Jessica’s own bright and cheery personality. Her bridesmaids’ bouquets followed suit and paired so beautifully with their nude-colored dresses.

Jaime + Zach's Classic Ballroom Reception

We, like everyone else, can spend hours browsing through photos of wedding trends on Pinterest and Instagram. But we can’t deny our love for the timeless style of a classic ballroom wedding! This week, we’re looking back on Jaime and Zach’s gorgeous reception at The Carlisle Room, which had no shortage of classy blooms and details.

Their ceremony was held at Park City Baptist Church, a beautiful setting for “I dos” that we added two large arrangements to at the altar. These pieces closely mimicked the style of Jaime’s bouquet, with a high density of bright white blooms and lots of greenery! We also added subtle touches of the same flowers and greenery to the pews - a detail you can’t go wrong with!

After the ceremony, guests migrated to The Carlisle Room in Dallas for the reception. This venue is the epitome of grandeur and elegance, and fit right in with our couple’s vision. In terms of flowers, we designed arrangements that sat on tall gold stands for some of the guest tables, and decorated the rest with low, smaller centerpieces and candle accents. Playing with varying heights in a big space is always fun and makes for such an interesting overall visual effect. The Carlisle Room, which is a remodeled bank, added so much personality to the feel too!

This wedding design was composed of a pretty simple color palette: whites/ivories, deep blues/black, and gold. But the visual impact is so stunning! The gold accents already present throughout the venue, and the gold chairs at the reception added that little extra interest and made the whole room more dynamic!

Jaime’s bridal bouquet mimicked the classic style and color scheme of the altar and table arrangements, with cascading greenery and orchids. In stunning navy blue gowns, her bridesmaids’ stunned with their matching white bouquets!

Vibrant, Lush Downtown Dallas Reception: Styled Shoot at Klyde Warren Park

This week’s blog features an ultra-colorful and summery styled shoot setup at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas. We had the pleasure of designing floral arrangements galore for this tent reception along with Boxwood Hospitality, who helped bring this whole vision together, and also served as the caterer! This photo collection shows great examples of the right bright colors bringing a whole space to life!

This reception setup starred lots of bright jewel tones and greenery paired with natural tones in the chairs and linens. Along the back edge of the tent, we decorated tables with tall garden-style arrangements full of vibrant blooms and greenery that matched the trees and greenery outside of the cleat tent. To further carry out the motif of greenery, we laced vines along the ceiling. On the rest of the guest tables, we designed small but equally-as-vibrant arrangements to serve as centerpieces, and decorated others with simple pillar candles and more greenery.

The centerpiece of the whole space, and a striking focal point, was the table that held the gorgeous cake by Butterfly Cakery, which we added just a few blooms to. The table, however, was surrounded with a semicircle of floral arrangements growing up from the ground, full of the same dazzling purples, pinks, and oranges on the tables. Last but not least, we designed two statement urn arrangements for the bar that framed a hedge wall that featured even more flowers in small clusters. With all of the greenery in our arrangements, the hedge wall, and grass at foot (since this tent was outdoors), there was absolutely no shortage of green and earthy elements, giving it such a lush feel all around!

The bridal bouquet for this shoot demands attention with not only its color palette but its abundance of statement blooms like Peonies and Ranunculus. It features pinks, fuchsia, yellow, and burgundy that work together beautifully! Fun shots with the city trolley, a cute puppy adorned with flowers, and our couple crossing the streets of Dallas together made this a vision of a quintessential city wedding that still manages to stun with the most organic and lush of elements!

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: Coral Charm peonies, Darcey Garden Roses, yellow Ranunculus, plum Scabiosa, Cappuccino Ranunculus, Cappuccino Roses, Toffee Roses, Huckleberry Greenery

Sarah + Grant's Intimate Garden Elopement

This week we’re reminiscing over a gorgeous intimate elopement that may have been scaled down in terms of guest count, but not at all in the way of flowers! We love the idea of having a really personal ceremony and reception but still going all out with all of the wedding visions you’ve been dreaming about. We designed the flowers for this elopement with the crucial support of Keestone Events, which made that translation from vision to reality so seamless!

The ceremony was held in the courtyard of Crescent Court in Dallas, which has the perfect multicolored trees and stone structures for us to add a lush floral design to. That design was an overgrown-looking floral and greenery arch that we made asymmetrical with big blooms. Sarah and Grant wed right in front of this statement arch that also tied in with small arrangements scattered down the aisle. The featured ivory and blush flowers contrasted with the darker greenery and created such a striking and sophisticated design.

The reception was held in the same space, which was ‘flipped’ following the ceremony, where dining tables replaced the rows of chairs. The same arch served as a statement for the reception, and made a great backdrop for the cake table. The guest tables were decorated with the arrangements that had lined the aisle, and paired with a few gold accents, made for elegant and intimate table designs. Cocktail tables were accented with small bud vases, and almost every corner of this space had a touch of floral whimsy!

Sarah’s bouquet was a classy mix of blush, ivory, and sprigs of greenery that broke up the dense, lush blooms and added depth and dynamism. This bouquet had no shortage of some common favorites: Peonies, Garden Roses, and Ranunculus.

This couple’s elopement delivered on an utterly classic and garden-inspired atmosphere. With the right touches, a wedding can feel larger-than-life, no matter the guest count!

Martha + Brin's Dreamy Botanical Garden Ceremony

Today we’re sharing some details on Martha and Brin’s Springtime wedding at Clark Gardens in Fort Worth. This day was a joy to coordinate and design flowers for, thanks to this lovely couple and beautiful venue! We were thrilled to incorporate all of the color that Martha requested and had so much fun pairing lots of unique jewel tones and interesting textures together. From the plates and candle holders to the bridal party’s bouquets, this event was sprinkled with bursts of bright color. We love that sweet floral details popped up in places like the bride’s braid and in the drinks served at happy hour, too!

It’s always a fun journey to figure out the best way to incorporate permanent structures or installations that venues feature. Martha and Brin wed in front of Clark Gardens’ outdoor fountain, which we accented with a semi-circle of lush and voluminous colorful floral arrangements to frame the front of the fountain. This outdoor area was a gorgeous and natural landscape for this romantic ceremony!

For the reception, we marked the entrance with a large statement arrangement full of bright Tulips, inspired by an art installation that Martha saw and loved while traveling. We also placed fruit at the base of this arrangement as a nod to still life art. We decorated the guest tables with lush compote arrangements, and chose table decor that brought out specific jewel tones in the centerpieces and paired well with the soft blush table linens.

The bride and bridesmaids’ bouquets were the ultimate culmination of this bright and dynamic floral vision, with the bridesmaids accessorized by monochromatic warm-toned bouquets and Martha carrying one full of big, colorful blooms. This bridal party looked straight out of a botanical garden dream with their assorted purple, orange, and green dresses, and the bride’s fabric-flower-embellished gown!
